Group Meeting!!!

In this meeting, we were able to discuss among our peers about ideas we had for our openings and where we were getting stuck. Another part was being able to give our feedback and suggest things to do better, or what we liked about their idea. 

Names: Brandon, Sebastian, Amelia, Sofia, Abrielle,  Jade

Coming of Age - Drama: Abrielle

An upcoming DJ wants to play at a festival for a prize of sorts, but he is underage and can't get into the club.

Coming of Age:  Sofia

Overview: Girls' last summer before college, but she has a sick mom at home, so she contemplates going to college 

2000's theme 

Mystery: Jade

Title: Static

Overview: Strong Female representation of a woman who wakes up in a hospital and or jail

Location: Use a garage for a look of a jail or just a dark room/environment, An office to represent the present day

Props: hospital gown (going to make it dirty), security guard outfit, flashlight

Suspense: Brandon

Overview/ideas: boy walking home, killer involved, body being dragged, awkward camera angles, bloody rock

Locations: parks, libraries, one of the group members' houses/libraries 

Thriller: Sebastian

Inspiration: Jaws - the vibes and aesthetic, american psycho

The entire experience was very engaging and definitely helpful, especially in my case due to the fact that my idea of what I wanted to do wasn't too clear. I now have a better idea of what direction I want to go in for my opening. The meeting also gave me the persepctive of being able to explain your idea will help the development of your film come across the way you want and see what parts of you ideas need a bit of fixing. It was really fun and insightful and I'm super exited for the next one!!!
